By David Hopwood | December 16, 2019

Boeing announced shortly after 22h00 GMT this evening that as expected (watch my video about it HERE), it would halt production of the 737-MAX in January 2020.

They have also said that no layoffs of furloughs are expected for the time being and that the cut in production would facilitate stored aircraft delivery. There are 400 such grounded aircraft.

Shares in Boeing were marked lower on Monday, falling by more than 4%.

If you are interested in the background to this decision, you can watch my VIDEO on the subject or read the full article HERE. I would also love to hear what you think about this decision, is it a good or a bad move from Boeing? Come into the Chat or Forums of the Mentour Aviation App and discuss it.
